Faith – What does it mean and how do we get it? – Part 3

Faith – What does it mean and how do we get it? – Part 3

The very idea of faith is universal. There is no one religion or institution here on earth that can control the idea of faith. And you either have it or you do not. It is not forced upon a person and it cannot be taken away without a mighty struggle. But in the end it may be one of the most powerful tools we have as believers in our struggles with our daily lives here on earth and with the rest of humanity in our relationships with each other and our Almighty Creator. This week we will talk about the topic of faith, using the Bible as the go to reference book of choice…cont’d.

Where does our faith actually come from? Well, the only reason to even need or consider having faith is because we desire something that is not already in our life. Christ was an amazing example of faith. He did things and in frequency and quantity like no other man has ever done in human history. Of course, there are a multitude of examples of miracles in the Bible done through faith in God. However, Christ showed us the true power of faith in God, through the resurrection of His own body after death (John 10:18). If you believe it, Jesus is the author and finisher of your faith (Hebrews 12:2)! Your faith comes from hearing, and hearing from the Word of God (Romans 10:17)!

More to come…
