Strengths, Weaknesses, Identity – Part 1

Strengths, Weaknesses, Identity – What does it mean to be a true Christian? – Part 1

I’ll be the first to admit I am not the definition of perfection. But as a person who is seeking their identity here on earth what do we do to find it? The last days, months and years of my life have been a journey. First coming back to the Church of my youth after learning a great deal about the world around me and then learning what it really means to be part of the Church and a Christian. And I am sure this will be a lifelong journey at any rate. However, in this article I will talk about finding your identity here on earth, using the Bible as the go to reference book of choice.

First, let’s talk about our strengths. What do you think about when asked the question; what are your strengths? The list could be a very long one depending on what you define as strength. You could be physically strong, mentally strong, or be strong in different areas of life like caring for others or fixing problems. Superhero movies, books and T.V. shows seem to be as popular as ever today and I have no doubt that there are some that wish they could be like those they watch and read about in books. As I have in the past. There is nothing wrong in having a role model and even Christ said that as believers we would do much more than what He did during His ministry (John 14:12). Is it any wonder we have landed on the moon and have technologies that have made some portions of our daily lives easier and easier. But what does the Bible say about strength? Ephesians 6:10 says, “Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.”

More to come…
