Justification for freedom of religion

Micah 4:5 says, “For all people will walk every one in the name of his god, and we will walk in the name of the Lord our God for ever and ever.” (Mic. 4:5). Jesus came to earth, conceived by the Holy Ghost, in the virgin, Mary, born of the virgin, Mary, espoused to Joseph (Matt. 1:18-25). He had brothers and sisters (Mark 6:3). He started His earthly ministry at about the age of thirty (Luke 3:23). And for three and a half years, He healed, did miracles, and forgave sins. And at Passover in 31 A.D., Jesus died on the cross for the forgiveness of our sins, He was buried, and the third day He arose to give us the hope and promise of eternal life in His Holy name. Alleluia and praise the LORD. Amen and Amen.

Marco Polo and Biblical history – Part 3

One subject I looked into in the summer of 2019 that influenced me from childhood was Marco Polo. It turns out that some of his writings may confirm people’s findings in the 20th century of biblical archaeology. The main site being Noah’s ark, which is mentioned in a book written in the 18th century from a collection of Marco Polo’s manuscripts.

Last, just like the other information in this blog, it is good to know that there are other references that can agree with the Bible, even if they are “secular”. But most important is to remember that Jesus Christ of Nazareth is the way, truth and the life (John 14:6). So in order for us to learn the truth about any information we ought to place our trust in Jesus Christ of Nazareth first and foremost. Because He died on the cross for the forgiveness of our sins, He was buried and the third day He arose to give us the hope and promise of eternal life in His Holy name. Alleluia and praise the LORD. Amen and Amen.

Another claim in the book is that the magi came from a city called Sava, which today is located in modern day Iran, south west of Tehran. This would agree with the scriptures that the wise men came from the east (Matt. 2:1).

The site in the book is said to be in Armenia, today it is know to be in modern day Turkey, near the border with Armenia. God knows the truth of all of this, but the Bible does talk about the ark landing on the mountains of Ararat (Gen. 8:4). And there is modern day archaeology done by Ron Wyatt, that would substantiate this claim.

Israel and the Epics – Part 3

Today I would like to talk about ancient Israel and the epic poems, namely the Iliad, written by Homer. It is suggested that this book was written in around the 8th century B.C., and it was about the 12th century B.C. time. But I believe this book to be about the ancient Israelites and their successive empires after their captivity in about 700 B.C.. Namely there are two names in the book that seem to hint to this being true, first is Chryses, which was a priest in the book, but in the Bible, there is Cyrus of Persia (Isa. 45:1).

Last, as always, it is important to remember, that there may be truth to these historical identities and associations with other books written thousands of years ago, but our identity ought to be in Jesus Christ of Nazareth. He is ultimately in control of all flesh (Matt. 28:18). He is the author and finisher of our faith (Heb. 12:2). And most importantly, He died on the cross for the forgiveness of our sins, He was buried and the third day He arose to give us the hope and promise of eternal life in His Holy name. Alleluia and praise the LORD. Amen and Amen.

The reason for the association of Cyrus of Persia is that his troops were fighting in the area of the Trojan wars. And the ancient tribe of Dan, as mentioned in an earlier article, was a pioneer of Israel, and they were a people in their own right. That is why they would be associated with the Danaans mentioned in Homer’s Iliad. I believe personally that the Spartans of Greece also were likely associated with the tribe of Dan and other Israelite tribes as well.

Next, there is a tribe of Achaians or Argives, also known as Danaans. I believe this to be none other than the tribe of Dan, one of the tribes of Israel, mentioned in the Bible (Deut. 33:22). And the Trojans may very well be a mixture of other Israelite tribes. I have a feeling that the same effort could be done to make an association with the tribes of Israel and Homer’s other works, including Homer’s Odyssey, as well as other ancient epics of similar antiquity.

Ancient British tribes and the captivities of Israel – Part 3

There are at least five major waves of immigration to the British Isles from about a millennium before Christ time unto the fourteenth century A.D.. They are known as the Brits, Picts, Celts, Anglo Saxons and the Normans. Some may argue differently, but for the sake of this article I will use these as examples. And it just so happens that the ancient Israelites went into captivity at least four times, twice for the northern ten tribes to Assyria and twice for the tribe of Judah into Babylon (2 Kings 15:29, 17:6, 24:12-16, 25:11). With Dan the “pioneer of Israel“, having started to adventure outside the land of Israel proper, likely during the time of Judges about five hundred years before the first captivity (Judges 18).

Last, although we can learn about the identity of our ancestors, either through our own family tree or more extensive research done, we must remember as followers of Christ that Jesus comes first in all of this, as His testimony is the spirit of prophecy (Rev. 19:10). And we must remember that ultimately Jesus came to save us from any curses that have come on us from our ancestors disobedience to God, that is we are made free from captivity in Jesus Christ of Nazareth’s name. The truth will make us free (John 8:32). Jesus gave His life for us, dying on the cross for the forgiveness of our sins, He was buried and the third day He arose to give us the hope and promise of eternal life in His Holy name. Alleluia and praise the LORD. Amen and Amen.

Another author whom has done extensive research into the tribes of Israel and their migration throughout history is Yair Davidiy. He wrote a book called “The Tribes” for the interested reader. One of the tribes I have identified with Spain and Portugal is Naphtali. They were prophesied to inhabit the west and the south (Deut. 33:23). That would also include the lands that Spain and Portugal colonized, especially South America and South Western United States.

This is all fine and well, but what is the point. Well I believe strongly that the waves of immigration to the British Isles directly relate to the waves of captivity and the earlier travels of the Danites, a tribe of Israel. The Kingdom in the late B.C. was known as Albion, and I believe this is where the Danites travelled to through Europe and the Mediterranean sea centuries earlier, preparing the way for the other Israelites whom went captive later. In a book by Geoffrey Monmouth, there is a list of Kings that starts with Brutus, this includes the name of King Arthur, and even mentions Merlin the wizard in the book, which I believe there to be some truth to.
